Dr. Amanda Mudek

Dr. Amanda Mudek is passionate about the sports medicine aspect of podiatry. From injury prevention to surgery, she enjoys helping people stay active.

Dr. Mudek grew up in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. After graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Military Science, Dr. Mudek earned her medical degree from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. She then joined the Army and completed her residency at both the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia, and the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She also served as the Chief of Podiatry Services at the Womack Army Medical Center. In May of 2021, Dr. Mudek retired from the military as a Major and joined Gulf South Foot & Ankle, LLC.

She is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.​

Dr. Mudek's husband first came to New Orleans as part of West Point cadets to help plant trees after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. He fell in love with the city and brought her to visit many years later. After having their famous New Orleans wedding in December 2018, they knew they wanted to live here one day!​

Dr. Mudek enjoys fitness, traveling, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her husband, dog, and 3 cats! She used to compete in triathlons, completing several IRONMAN 70.3's and one full IRONMAN.
