How to beat the heat…
We are in full swing of Summer here in the Gulf South of Louisiana and the challenge of staying cool can be difficult. One of the main ways to keep your internal body temperature cool which will allow you to do more physical activity or enjoy the outdoors is to make sure you are hydrated.
During heavy exercise in a hot environment, drink two to four glasses of cool fluids each hour. However: If your doctor generally limits the amount of fluid you drink or has you on water pills, ask how much you should drink while the weather is hot.
Remember to wear hat and sunglasses and take breaks in the shade or in the air condition to sustain your fun in the sun!
Have a great Summer and stay cool!
