Patients Love the KD Device for Pincer Nails

Gulf South Foot and Ankle has adopted the use of the KD Device for the treatment of pincer nails, a condition where the nail curves inward.  This is also known as in-curved nail, trumpet nail, convoluted nail, omega nail, and transverse over-curvature.

The KD Device and procedure eliminates the issue by installing a metal clip that straightens the nail by placing the clip over the nail after a brief procedure to bring the nail to its new, corrected position.  The clip is left on the nail for approximately 3 weeks.
